This week, Microsoft announced that the date for price increases for Dynamics 365 Business Central has shifted by one month, taking effect on November 1, 2025. This is the first price increase for Business Central in over five years, and comes with additional storage.
Further, the company announced a new variation of its “Bridge to Cloud” program, “Bridge to Cloud 3” (BTC3). It will go into effect on January 1, 2026, replacing the Bridge to the Cloud 2 (BTTC2) program.
Price Adjustments for Business Central
On September 9, Microsoft shared that the pricing updates for Dynamics 365 Business Central have changed. The original announcement on May 6 noted that price and storage for Dynamics 365 Business Central Essentials, Dynamics 365 Business Central Premium, and Dynamics 365 Business Central Device would increase on October 1, 2025.
Now, the price adjustments will go into effect on November 1, 2025, and include increased storage:
Product | Price/Storage before 11/1 | Price/Storage after 11/1 |
D365 Business Central Essentials | $70/month, 2GB storage | $80/month, 3GB storage |
D365 Business Central Premium | $100/month, 3GB storage | $110/month, 5GB storage |
D365 Business Central Device | $40/month, 1GB storage | $45/month, 1.5GB storage |
In the official announcement, Microsoft noted that the reason for the price increase is to give partners more time to communicate global prices to its customers. Also included in the announcement, the company noted that “the updated prices apply to new cloud subscriptions and to existing cloud subscriptions upon their first renewal on or after November 1, 2025.”
New ‘Bridge to Cloud 3’ (BTC3) Program
In an effort to drive on-premises customers to the cloud, Microsoft announced a new “Bridge to Cloud 3” promotion, taking effect on January 1, 2026. This promotion builds on the previous “Bridge to the Cloud 2” program, for which the offer expires on December 31, 2025.
While the benefits of both programs remain similar, BTC3 has a reduced discount level (30% discount on a 3-year term subscription, compared to the 40% discount for BTTC2). The 30% discount on a 3-year term subscription is valid for customers who purchase between January 1, 2026 and December 31, 2027.
What This Means for Partners
Microsoft is encouraging partners to drive their customers to buy before the new BTC3 program takes effect at the start of 2026, and before the Business Central price increase.
Right now, Business Central customers can take advantage of a 40% promotional discount for the BTTC2 program, but the window of opportunity is limited. With the Business Central price increase scheduled for November 1, 2025, organizations that act early can secure the current rate for the full three-year promotional term.
